Find a chat or shorten a message

Each employee has one conversation with you. Spaces have their own conversation. This article covers two messages about chats.

"This chat isn't available anymore."

The chat was removed, or you no longer have access to it.

1. Pick another chat from the list in the sidebar.
2. To find an older conversation, see Find your past chats.
3. If you deleted the employee, its chat goes with it. See Delete an employee and what it remembers.

"Your message is too long."

1. Shorten the message and send it again.
2. For a lot of text, paste it. A paste of 2,000 characters or more becomes a text file in the message box, which you can send as an attachment.
3. Or attach a file and describe it in a sentence.

If it doesn't work

• If a message fails to send, your words and files come back in the box with Try again. Sending again does not send it twice.
• If the chat is in a Space and you lost access, see Roles and access.
• If a chat you expect is missing from the list, reload the page.
