Chat with an employee
Each employee has one conversation with you that continues over time. There is no New Chat button.
How the chat behaves
- Replies arrive as separate messages, like a text conversation. Progress updates are their own messages.
- A small status pill shows what the employee is doing: queued, thinking, using a tool, or waiting on you.
- Three dots show while it is typing.
- Under your latest message you see "Sending…", "Delivered" or "Read" with a time.
- Older messages load when you scroll up. A "Latest" button takes you back to the end.
- A quiet "Self-improved" line may appear when the employee learns or improves a skill.
Send a message
- Open the employee from the sidebar or Home.
- Type in the message box and press Return. Shift and Return starts a new line.
- If it is already working, an empty box becomes Stop. If you type, the button says "Send now" and your words are sent as a follow-up.
Copy and feedback
Each reply has a copy action. Where thumbs are available, use them to tell the employee how it did.
If it doesn't work
- If a message fails, your words and files come back in the box with Try again. Retrying will not send it twice.
- If replies seem to stall, check the status pill. "Queued" means the work has not started yet.
- If the chat looks like a stream of text with no separate messages, the text-message look is not on for your account.
