Report a problem
If something is broken or confusing, you can send a report straight from the app. The team sees it with the details needed to fix it.
Send a report
- Choose Report a problem. You will find it in Settings under Account, and in the header of a conversation.
- Describe what happened. Say what you expected, too.
- Add up to 6 screenshots if you like. You can pick, paste, drop or capture one. On a phone you can shake the device.
- Check the list of what will be sent: the conversation, the page and device, and recent app activity.
- Turn recent app activity off if you prefer. Choose "Show activity" to read the lines first.
- Send.
Tokens, keys, cookies, email addresses and long secrets are removed from the activity lines before they leave your device.
Limits
- Screenshots can be PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 4 MB each.
- You can send up to 10 reports an hour.
Follow a report
Your reports and their status are listed under Report a problem in Settings. You get a notification when one is marked Fixed. Tapping it opens the list.
If it doesn't work
- If the sheet says a screenshot is too large, remove it or use a smaller one.
- If you reach the hourly limit, wait and send again later.
- "That report couldn't be read." Try sending it again.
- "Something went wrong on our side." Try again. If it keeps happening, send a report as above.
- For other short messages, see Fix common problems.
