React to a message with a tapback
A tapback is a quick reaction on an employee's reply. It tells the employee what you thought, and it can help it learn.
Steps
- Double-click a reply. On a touch screen, press and hold for about half a second.
- Pick one: love, like, dislike, laugh, emphasize or question.
- The tapback appears as a badge on the corner of the message.
To take it back, open the picker and choose the same one again.
What it teaches
Love and like count as positive, dislike as negative, emphasize as important, and question as unclear. Laugh is never acted on. A tapback you take back within about 10 minutes teaches nothing.
Where you can use them
On employee replies in your one-to-one chats, and in Space conversations when you are an editor or the owner. Viewers can see tapbacks but cannot add one.
If it doesn't work
- If a tapback does not save, the old one comes back and a message says so.
- In a Space, the picker shows only after the Space has confirmed you may react.
