What your employees can do
An employee is an AI that works for you on its own computer. Ask in chat or on a voice call, in plain words. This is a list of what it can do today; each item links to more help where there is some.
Make things
- Word documents, PowerPoint decks, Excel spreadsheets and PDFs. Finished files are kept in the Library.
- Web pages, app screens, slides, social posts, posters and printable designs. Brand kits keep them on brand: Settings › Personal › Brand kits has New Brand Kit, import From a Website or From Files, and which kit employees use.
- Images from a description, charts from your numbers, and a podcast with a transcript from your sources.
- Live widgets for your Dashboard. See Put widgets on your Dashboard.
Find things out
- Search the web and read pages, with the sources.
- Watch a video and say what is in it.
- Read your files, scans and pictures. See Read scans and build tools.
Work in your apps and on computers
- Use a real computer: open apps, run commands, browse websites and fill in forms. See Cloud computers and your own.
- Work inside connected apps such as your email and calendar, and find and install plugins. See Connect a plugin.
- Sign in to websites with your saved passwords, asking you first. See Keep passwords and keys safe.
- Use your own computer when you connect it. See Connect a computer.
Run work for you
- Schedule work to run later or on a repeat. See Manage routines.
- Keep going on a goal for days, with a to-do list you can follow. See Give an employee a goal.
- Run a team: make more employees, work with them in the background, and share a named team computer.
- Keep work in projects with their own files.
- Phone you and talk it through, saying first that it is an AI. See Phone numbers and calls.
- Notify you when something you asked about happens. See Choose what you are notified about.
Learn and remember
- Save a way of doing something as a skill, or learn something new by itself. See Skills and workflows and Let an employee learn anything.
- Remember what matters about you and your business. See How memory works.
Jev
Jev makes quick yes-or-no and pick-one decisions for a fraction of the credits, such as sorting a whole inbox or screening a long list, and can click through repetitive pages fast. Settings › Employees › Jev has the Use Jev switch and its model, with the last 7 days of decisions.
What it won't do without you
Anything that spends money, sends to someone new, deletes for good or changes security asks you first. See Answer a permission card.
