Keep passwords and keys safe

Settings has two places for secrets, under Integrations: Passwords and Vault. Passwords holds saved logins, and can connect to 1Password. Vault holds keys.

Add or change one

  1. Open Settings, then Passwords or Vault.
  2. Choose Add, or edit a row.
  3. Type the value. The field is cleared as soon as you save, and the value is never shown again.
  4. The app asks you to confirm it is you. Face ID, Touch ID or a browser window may appear.

There is no reveal and no copy. Lists show names and details only.

Use 1Password

  1. Under Passwords, choose Connect.
  2. Choose Logins and pick up to 500.
  3. Choose Always allow sites if you want.
  4. Disconnect any time.

If it doesn't work

  • "Confirm it's you" waits for your confirmation. Closing the dialog sends nothing.
  • If your session is old, you are asked again. Deleting a key after 15 minutes idle asks too.
  • A failed save asks for the value again. It is not kept.
  • "We need to check it's you." Sign in again to continue.
  • For messages about duplicates and sign-in requests, see Fix saved password and key messages.
