Undo a send or a delete
When an employee sends something for you, a short Undo chip can appear with a countdown.
Steps
- Look for the chip after the send. It counts down.
- Choose Undo before it runs out.
- The chip reads "Unsent." and the employee will not try again unless you ask.
If it was too late, the chip says "Too late to undo". Otherwise it settles to a quiet "Sent".
What can be undone
- Email from Gmail or Outlook: held for a short window, then sent unchanged. Undo cancels it.
- Teams chats, and Slack where the connection supports it: sent at once, and deleted if you undo.
- Deleting email or files: moved to the trash first, so they can be put back. Files on the employee's computer go to a trash folder for 30 days.
What cannot
Text messages, calls, Teams channel posts and anything sent with a file attached have no undo and no chip.
Set the window
In Rules, under preferences, choose the undo window: Off, 10 seconds or 20 seconds.
If it doesn't work
- If undo fails, check the chip. A send stuck midway is marked uncertain and is never sent twice. The employee tells you.
- A held email still goes out if you stop the task.
