Share a computer between employees
A team computer can run several employees at once. Each employee gets its own screen, and all of them share one home folder.
How it works
- Each employee works on its own screen, so they do not click over each other.
- A team computer has a limit on how many screens it can run. The limit comes from its display slots, processing, memory and process count.
- When every screen is in use, the next employee waits in line and starts when one is free. Its status shows that it is waiting for a computer.
If it doesn't work
- If an employee waits a long time, others on the same computer may be busy. Open the Computer tab to see.
- Messages like "every desktop is in use" mean the limit was reached. They clear when a task ends.
- "There's no free computer right now." See When there is no free computer.
- "Other employees are still using this computer." See When teammates are using a computer.
