Make a live widget from your keys and plugins
Ask an employee for a widget in your own words, such as "make a widget of my Stripe dashboard", "the status of Supabase" or "my current inbox". It designs the cover first, then the page that opens when you click it, then connects the data so it stays up to date.
What the employee builds
- The cover. The face you see on Home, in the Widgets sheet and in chat. It can be any colour, picture or video, with a short animation. It shows one thing at a glance, not a page of text.
- The full view. Click the widget and it opens as a small website with the details.
- The size. The employee picks Small, Medium or Large for what it shows. You can change it from the tile menu.
Where the data comes from
- A key in your Vault, such as a Stripe key. The employee asks before using it. A card names the widget, the key and the website. Tap Allow. Our server makes each request with the key; the widget never sees it. Widgets only read with keys. They never change anything.
- A plugin you connected, such as Gmail or Outlook. A card says the widget will read from that plugin. Tap Allow. Only tools that read are offered, so a widget can never send, change or delete.
- Public websites and news feeds that need no key, such as a status page.
If a key is missing, the employee asks you to save it in the Vault. Never paste a key in chat.
How it stays up to date
- The data refreshes on a schedule, usually every hour, and again when you open a widget whose data is a few minutes old. No AI runs for this, so it costs nothing extra.
- A widget that needs writing, such as a daily news summary, uses an employee run instead. That counts toward your usage.
If it doesn't work
- "Couldn't update" means the last refresh failed. The widget keeps showing its last good data. Ask the employee that made it what went wrong: it can see the reason, for example a key that was removed or a plugin that needs you to sign in again.
- To stop a widget reading a key or plugin, open it, choose the menu (three dots), then Access, and turn it off.
- Ask the employee that made it to fix it, or to change what it shows.
