Choose what a device may do

Each device has its own switches. They decide whether employees can print on it, run commands on it, and reach your local network from it.

Change a switch

1. Open Settings, then Devices.
2. Choose the device.
3. Turn printing, commands or local network on or off.
4. Ask the employee again.

If it doesn't work

• "Printing is turned off for this device." Turn printing on for that device.
• "Running commands is turned off for this device." Turn commands on for it.
• "Reaching the local network is turned off for this device." Turn local network on for it.
• If the switch is on and the message stays, check the device is online. See Connect a device.
