What a Space is

A Space is a shared place for a project. It has a Files tab, like a shared folder, and one Conversation tab where people and employees talk together.

What a Space holds

When you make a Space you choose one of three:

• Files and a conversation.
• Files only.
• Conversation only. This replaces the old group chats.

If a Space has only one, you see only that tab.

Who is in it

People have a role: Owner, Editor or Viewer. Employees are Editors or Viewers and never Owners. The header shows overlapping faces, people first and then employees.

Where to find Spaces

They are in the sidebar under Spaces. Old group chats open as conversation-only Spaces, and old group links redirect to the Space.

If it doesn't work

• "This Space isn't available" means it is archived, removed, or you no longer have access.
• If you do not see Spaces in the sidebar, they are not on for your account yet.
